The hood with brass ball and spire finials to caddy top, blind fret panels, pierced sound frets to the sides, inset brass-capped columns to the front and conforming half columns to the rear, the trunk door with line inlaid border, moulded borders and lenticle glass, conforming line inlays to the sides, the plinth raised on a double foot, the 12 in. square brass dial with cherub and coronet spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with diamond half hour markers, signed John Hill King Street/Covent Garden, matted centre with ringed winding holes and engraving around the date aperture, blued steel hands, the eight day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on bell; case with restorations, replacements to veneers; two weights, pendulum, crank key
