Lot Essay

The figures on the recto are very close, and possibly the same, as those in a drawing from the McCormick Collection now in the Central Bank of Venezuela (Rewald, fig. 14). The composition of the verso of the drawing is close to that of the verso of the aforementioned drawing in Caracas.
