Lot Essay

Koppel designed this fish platter in 1954. As the handle grip for the fish dish resembled the mouth of a cod, it is referred to as the codfish dish. Examples are found in the Museum of Applied Art, Copenhagen and the Landesgewerbeamt Baden-Wurttemberg, Stuttgart.
