of ring design, both set with pearls and cabochon garnets and decorated with interlaced work, one based on the Hunterston Brooch, both circa 1860.

Further details
The Hunterston brooch was an early 8th century penannular pin found in 1826 on the estate of Robert Hunter, of west Kilbride, Ayrshire, Scotland. The original brooch is set with amber in a partly gilt silver mount and is now in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland, Edinburgh.
