Emblematic of Summer and Winter from a set of the Seasons, Summer modelled with two scantilly-clad putti, one seated on a mound beside a sheaf of corn, the other seated above holding a bunch of grapes; Winter modelled with two putti, one wearing a green fur-trimmed hat, wrapped in a claret-ground drape warming his hands above a flaming brazier, and looking up to a scantilly-clad putto seated above holding a rose, a basket of flowers beside her, both groups on scroll-moulded rocky mound bases (some damages)
