CIRCA 1725, THE DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY, LUSTRE INTERLACED CS
Decorated in the Augsburg workshop of Bartolomäus Seuter, three facets with vignettes of Orietals at various pursuits above panels of diaper ornament supported by interlocking strapwork, the other three facets with shaped diaper-pattern panels between interlocking strapwork edged with dot ornament, the flat shoulder and ribbed and fluted edges richly gilt, the cylindrical cover gilt with a bird perched on a branch within a band of dot ornament, the edge with a broad gilt band (slight wear to extremities, shoulder with areas of wear below cover)
