CIRCA 1735, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, ABOVE i TO THE SAUCER, BLUE X TO FOOTRIM OF CUP, THE DECORATION LATER
Decorated in underglaze-blue, iron-red and gilding with the Zweibelmuster and flowering Oriental shrubs within bands of ovolos, the footrim of the cup with a band of 'cracked ice' pattern, the saucer with a border of flowerhead panels below bands of scrolls, the everted thumb-pieces with small bouquets of flowers, the underside of the saucer and the interior of the cup with further sprays of flowers (very slight wear to gilding)
The saucer 6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) wide
