THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1740, THE DECORATION LATER, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S NUMERAL 39., PRESSNUMMER 23
Painted in the manner of C.F. Herold with a kneeling figure holding a torch before a standing figure and a basket of fruit, within a quatrefoil cartouche gilt with scrolls enclosing gilt-lustre panels, iron-red diaper pattern sections and issuing iron-red and purple scrolls below a Gitterwerk border and gilt-line rim, the underside moulded with ribbed bands (slight wear to gilding, some areas of wear)
