CIRCA 1742, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND GILDER'S GILT 80. MARKS, DREHER'S INCISED TO TEABOWL AND IMPRESSED ** TO SAUCER
The exterior of the teabowl and underside of the saucer with turquoise grounds, the first reserved with two river-landscape scenes within elongated ogival quatrefoil gilt band cartouches, the interior with a boating figure within an iron-red double concentric circle cartouche below an elaborate Gitterwerk border, the saucer with three figures after Watteau standing by trees before a distant schloss, within an ogival quatrefoil dark-brown and Gitterwerk cartouche and similar border, gilt line rims (teabowl broken through and restored, areas of very slight wear)
