A MEISSEN YELLOW-GROUND CIRCULAR BOWL AND COVER
CIRCA 1735-40, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S F. TO BOTH, DREHER'S ** MARK
One side of the bowl painted with figures passing through a lock, the other with figures by an obelisk, within shaped ogival gilt line cartouches, with gilt band borders, the top of the cover painted with a flower in the Kakiemon style within a gilt raised rim, the lower part with two similar panels with figures in harbour landscapes (small areas of wear to gilding of rim on top of cover and to underside of rim)
