CIRCA 1745, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S NUMERALS 57. TO EACH, PRESSNUMMER 52 TO ONE SAUCER
Painted by C.F. Herold with Oriental figures at various pursuits, the teabowls with shaded gilt elongated quatrefoil panels, the saucers with quatrefoil cartouches edged with gilt scrolls enclosing Böttger-lustre panels and issuing purple and iron-red scrolls between masks, the border gilt with flowerheads and fretted diamond-shaped panels among scrolls (one teabowl with crack to rim, some minor scratches to saucers, base of teabowl interiors with scratching, further slight scratches to surface) (2)
