Modelled looking to the left, tugging his wind-blown puce-lined green cloak over his shoulder and securing his hat with his right hand, wearing a flowered jacket, mauve breeches and yellow shoes with puce ribbons, a satchel slung over his right shoulder, walking by a tree-stump on a circular mound base applied with foliage and meandering flowering branches (right hand restored, slight restoration to tip of cloak in left hand and to chip to edge of cloak at left, slight minor chipping to extremities)
