CIRCA 1780, BLUE SHEILD MARKS, EACH IMPRESSED P
Modelled as a gentleman, possibly an inn keeper, resting a covered ewer on a stand concealing a chocolate-pot, his companion modelled standing turned slightly to one side, both on shaped mound bases edged with gilt scrolls above gilt lines (his raised arm a restored replacement, some subsequent repair, restoration to spout of ewer, fan lacking with remains of old restoration, some wear to extremities)
