Lot Essay

This group is derived from the engraving L'Eté of circa 1745 by N. Larmessin after Lancret. An example, then in the author's collection, is illustrated by S. Ducret, Die Zürcher Porzellanmanufaktur (Zürich, 1958), Vol. II, p. 156, pl. 246, opposite Larmessin's engraving on p. 157.
