The hood with caddy top surmounted by gilt carved wood figural finials the trunk-door with glazed lenticle with gilt-metal vase depicting a flaming urn flanked to either side by the moon and the sun, the brass dial with silvered engraved arch above the rolling moonphase, silvered chapterring with Roman and Arabic numerals, inscribed RUTGERUSVANMEURS AMSTELDAM, the matted centre with silvered seconds ring (replaced), month, day and date aperture, and centred by an alarm disc, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and a strike on two bells
