Apparently unmarked, circa 1675
Each oval one chased and embossed with the scene of Venus in Vulcan's forge, Venus asking Vulcan to make a set of armour for Aeneas, her son, when he was about to go to war in Latium, the other with a scene of Thetis in Vulcan's Forge, Thetis went to Vulcan, like Venus to ask him to make armour for her son Achilles, each within a laurel wreath and a band of ovals
