In three sections, inlaid with crossbanded strapwork lines and panels with birds and flowers the moulded top above a door, flanked by five drawers to either side, enclosing a green baize lined interior with two drawers, above a hinged slope, inlaid with a crowned medallion, enclosing a green baize lined interior with four drawers, above three inverted long drawers, on bun feet

Isaac Roos (1684-1756) was one of the most prolific cabinet-makers in Württemberg under the reign of the duke Eberhard Ludwig. His work characterised by richly inlaid floral designs, he particularly specialised in bureau cabinets and commodes. As a guild master and councelor he belonged to the cabinet makers who furnished the Ludwigsburger Schloss. His caracteristic design with tulips and birds was strongly influenced by Dutch art of the 17th Century. A related bureau cabinet is shown in the collection of the Württembergische Landesmuseum, another cabinet on stand, signed by Isaac Roos in the Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg.
