A model of the Nautilus based on the book 10,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne, circa 1880
a brass and steel model, the hull in the form of a torpedo and fitted with a tow ring at the bow, the name painted in gold (faded), ten brass porthols, a center hatch at the top with a soldered hand rail and a large brass propeller at the stern. The interior of the model has some gears and struts which implies the model might have worked at one time. With a fitted wood box.
