A static display model of the high speed commuter yacht Tarantula
the hull is painted with a green bottom, black topsides and a gold waterline and cove stripes. The deck is planked in basswood and fitted with a number of details which include: chocks, anchor, anchor windlass, companionways, deck houses, two funnels, running lights, ventilators, skylights, mast, boats on davits, and other details. Displayed on a pair of brass pedestals in a glass case with brass trim and mahogany base.

Tarantula was one of the first high-speed turbine yachts built. She was designed by Cox & King, and had a torpedo boat like appearance. She was used as a commuter yacht in the waters in and around New York. During World War I she served the Canadian Navy as the H.M.C.S. Tuna
