Born in Zurich, raised in Lausanne and educated in Paris, Suzanne Syz founded her company in 1998 creating fantasy jewels inspired by nature's forms and colours. Exhibiting in Gstaad, New York and Paris, with extensive reviews in Harper's and Vogue around the world, she soon became a sought-after designer for the international jet-set including the Russian elite and famous clients such as Elizabeth Taylor and Princess Gloria von Turn und Taxis.
Her showroom at 13 rue Céard in Geneva, styled in 1960s chic, is a combination of contemporary art and second-hand furniture in lilacs, greens and white colours, revealing her inner nature of fantasy and imagination. In her creations, gemstones of all colours and sizes decorate the jewels such as red spinels, tsavorite garnets, pink sapphires and fire opals. Drawing much of her inspiration from nature, or from her travels, the jewels also have echoes of fairytale stories with the creations named 'The sun meets with the moon' or 'Prince Charming' for example. Each of the 40 or so amusing, whimsical and fanciful pieces created in a year are unique, designed not only to adorn, but to enhance the beauty of a woman.
