The inverted breakfront superstructure with inset Brèche violette marble top and pierced three-quarter gallery, above a rectangular panel depicting a landscape, flanked to each side by two drawers, the back and sides inset with similarly decorated panels, the lower section inset with a tooled brown leather writing surface, the front with four drawers, the right-hand simulated double drawer fitted with a locking compartment, the interior of the left-hand upper drawer with paper label inscribed COLLECTION WERNHER/7.144, above two sets of square tapering legs, each joined by a quarter-veneered undertier
