APPARENTLY UNMARKED, LAST HALF 19TH CENTURY
Modelled as Judy taking a pinch of snuff and seated on a stack of three books, the lighter mounted in the top of Judy's bonnet - 3½in. (8cm.) high.

Lot Essay

A very similar silver pepperette by James Barclay Hennell, London, 1880 with a design registration mark for 1868, with a companion Punch mustard pot, was sold in these rooms 10 September 2002, lot 197.
