NAPOLOEON BONAPARTE. Letter signed ("Nap" with large flourish), as Emperor, to Eugene Napoleon (1781-1824), Viceroy of Italy, "Au palais de Milan," 23 October 1807. 1 page, 8 x 8½ in approximately, in French, matted with a standing portrait in a giltwood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
ORDERS TO PREPARE FOR A REVIEW OF DRAGOONS. "My son, I am giving the order to the Grand Duke de Berg to go to Lodi to review the dragoon squadrons there. Give the orders so that the squadrons are ready tomorrow, upon the arrival of the Grand Duke. Thereupon I pray God will keep you well. Your affectionate father" Eugene, the son of Josephine from her first marriage, was adopted by Napoleon.
