FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, with the earlier grey floral endpapers, the blank street sign on upper cover, and the misprint Miss 'Violent' Hunter for 'Violet' in the final sentence of The Copper Beeches. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes was the first collection of Sherlock Holmes stories to be published, following the enormous success of the series in the Strand Magazine.
