A Continental painted porcelain oviform pendant containing a verge watch movement
Early 19th century
The gilt chain fusee movement with verge escapement and bridge cock, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, contained in two piece painted porcelain pendant with painted floral and scroll decoration and representations of Classical themes in cartouches, the two halves mounted in decorative silver hinged mounts with a silver top and bottom finial
78 mm. high, 41 mm. diam.
