Signed Jean Hubert a Rouen fecit. Circa 1700
The gilt going barrel verge movement with a pierced and decorative bridge cock, finely chased and engraved top plate, blued steel stop mechanism for the going and alarm train, turned baluster pillars, blued steel hairspring regulator, the silver champlevé dial with outer engraved and blacked Roman numerals, half-hour divisions, inner quarter hour ring, finely chased and engraved alarm disk with floral decoration, Arabic chapter ring for the alarm time, a pointer in the rim to indicate the hours, in (later) silver pierced, chased and engraved case containing a bell, and fitted with split bezel and ring pendant
