A French black marble perpetual calendar table clock
Circa 1870
The case with gilt-brass line mouldings in the base and to the bezel-glazed doors, the dial with delicate foliate engraved gilt mask, the painted Roman chapter ring with blued steel hands and engine turned centre, perpetual calendar dial below with foliate engraved centre with subsidiary rings for day of week and date, blue and white enamelled moonphase above, within an outer concentric month ring, the twin going-barrel with Brocot type escapement with pendulum regulation on the main dial, linkeage to the calendrical movement with backplate stamped C.R.
