The twin barrel movement with silvered platform lever escapement, quarter strike and alarm on two gongs and repeating the hours and the quarters, the backplate stamped MADE IN FRANCE, the white enamel Roman dial with blued spade hands and signed by the retailers MAPPIN & WEBB LIMITED LONDON AND RIO-DE-JANEIRO FRENCH MAKE, alarm ring below, the lacquered brass case with handle and repeat button to top
