The brass movement flanked by turned brass baluster columns, the frontplate engraved with chrysanthemums and with twin calendar apertures beneath the chapter ring with adjustable Occidental Roman chapters (lacking hand), verge escapement and balance wheel with adjustable weights oscillating above the plates, the strike train with countwheel and strike on a gilt bell above the plates, chrysanthemum-engraved side doors with spring-loaded catches, the shitan wood case with detachable hood and wall bracket
