The brass movement with four turned brass baluster columns, chrysanthemum-pierced frontplate to the going train with verge and balance wheel escapement with mock pendulum aperture, the hours engraved on silvered plates and half-hours marked by brass cartouches, the strike train held within the falling weight compartment with countwheel strike on a bell, key drawer to base and glazed hood with sliding front compartment
