ALBERT ODMARK NOTES
Purchased May 10, 1953 from S. Sorensen.

The Japanese stamp on the base of the globe is a Mon or crest of Mitsumeyui. This was used by the Akaza Family made famous by the warrior Akaza Bingo Kami Naouasu (d. 1606) who owned the 2-man-goku in Echizen province (now Fukui Prefecture). Akasa Naouasu participated in a famous battle of Sekigahara (1600) on the side of the losing West Force.
