The rectangular sloping top with cavetto cornice decorated with a panel depicting Hector's farewell to Andromache, in a foliate decorated border, the hinged slope enclosing a pink paper-lined interior with divisions and a green baize-lined hinged slope, each side decorated with scrolling foliage and enclosing fitted drawers, the left drawer with lidded compartments and with paper roll holders, each drawer and each side with rolled wire handles, lacking one handle, signed 'W. Ralfs'
