A handwritten land grant, signed, dated 19th October 1831, to James MacArthur "four thousand acres of land situate in the County of Argyle..." witnessed by Henry Dumaresq and C.H. Darling and also signed by Alexander Macleay as Colonial Secretary, manuscript on vellum, fragmentary wax seal, faded, 37 x 53 cm. (14½ x 20¾ in.)
