I have had this wine a number of times and it just gets better, in terms of pure enjoyment it is not far off the first growths and it may also turn out to be as good as the profound 1961. An even deepish red color. The nose is jammed with rustic dark plums, truffles, warm smoky old wood and tobacco. Delicious wine, strong, robust; it grips and fills the mouth.
