Lot Essay

Lilly: Cushing's first major monograph "begins with a brief account of the anatomy, physiology, pathology, and chemistry of the hypophysis. The main text, on clinical manifestations of disordered function, is a detailed discussion of forty-seven cases. The last part of the book is a survey of the incidence, symptomatology, and treatement of pituitary disorders, including his new operative methods."
