PRICED in a contemporary hand. The Scottish historian of the house of Sutherland, to which he belonged collected in the days of James I and Charles I, and sold 150 years after his death. Gordon is one of only three Caledonian bibliophiles mentioned by De Ricci, who mentions that the library was actually sold on 25 March 1816.
