2o (394 x 244 mm). 5 engraved facsimiles, engraved text facsimiles. Contemporary calf (rebacked preserving original red morocco lettering piece). Provenance: A.N.L. Munby (bookplate).
The monumental catalogue by Montfauçon, the eminent historian and founder of Greek palaeography, of the more than 400 Greek manuscripts which had belonged, "almost without exception" (Delisle) to Séguier, but are often referred to, as in the title, as "Coisliniana." The Seguier manuscripts had been inherited by his grandson, Henri-Charles de Cambout, Duc de Coislin, Bishop of Metz, who had left them to the Benedictines of St. Germain-des-Prés; Séguier's Greek manuscripts now form the "Fonds Coislin," 416 volumes in the Department of manuscripts in the Bibliothèque Nationale. Graesse IV, p.591.
