LEBER, Jean-Michel Constant (1780-1859) -- Catalogue des Livres Imprimés, Manuscrits, Estampes, Dessins et Cartes A Jouer, Composant la Bibliothèque de M.C. Leber: Avec des Notes par le Collectionneur. Paris: widow Huzard for Techener, 1839--1852.

Four parts in two, 8o (220 x 135 mm). Later black half roan, entirely uncut (rubbed and faded).

Leber, himself a member of the "Institut de France", sold a large part of his library to the city of Rouen which is described in the first three parts. The fourth and last part contains the second library, which he kept, and which was sold at auction after his death in 1860. It is followed by a general index to all four parts. The Leber catalogue was an important tool for Charles Brunet as he states in his Manuel. (2)
