8o (195 x 122 mm). 18th-century calf gilt, red morocco lettering piece on spine (light rubbing to joints and corners, small chip to head of spine). Provenance: Passeron (early ownership inscription on title).

PRICED in a contemporary hand. Michel Brochard, professor of the humanities at the Collège Mazarin, formed an important collection with "significant holdings in French poetry" (North). He was a friend and adviser of the collector Du Fay. In the preface to the catalogue Martin notes, that the printed catalogue is a copy of Brochard's manuscript catalogue.
