PRICED in a contemporary hand. A sale of interest on account of the extraordinary series of historical documents offered in Part II of the 1834 sale, but only sold with the 1835 sale. Also of import is the collection of Marquis Picot de La Motte, French general, commander of Malabar and governor of Mahé (and Courcelles' father-in-law), who owned books in exotic languages and on Malabar. The 1835 catalogue is bound before that of 1834. Not in Blogie.
