Engraved vignette on title depicting the duchess' coat-of-arms, 2 facsimiles, one bearing the autograph inscription by Bossange "ce facsimilé en retard est cause que le catalogue n'est pas parti", loosely inserted a second printing of the "ordre des vacations" annotated with the results for each section and the overall result of the whole sale. Modern red half-calf with the original printed wrappers preserved (some wear to hinges). Provenance: Edmond de Selys (autograph inscription by Bossange père on front cover, indicating presentation to Edmond de Selys).
Complete copy, with the second printing of the order of the sale, (indicating Monday 27 February 1837 rather than Monday 20 February 1837 as the start of this impressive sale), as well as the extremely rare facsimile of a letter of the duchess concerning lot 1688 (Sully's Economies Royales). Although the sale comprised "only" 2578 lots, some of them contained more than 700 items. The sale ended with the duchess' collection of prints, medals, arms and armors, bronzes, and antique objects.
