8o (219 x 138 mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece of Lassus printed on vellum. Blue straight-grained half morocco and marbled boards, top edge gilt, others uncut, smooth spine gilt, at head unidentified gilt monogram, original blue printed wrappers bound in by Petitot. Provenance: Comte Clément de Ris (presentation inscription from Lambert Lassus to his son-in law); Geneviève Dubois (bookplate); Georges Flore (bookplate).

Apparently unique copy on Papier d'Hollande, with the portrait printed on vellum, of the sale catalogue of the library of the noted architect, with an admiring preface by Viollet-le-Duc, with whom he had worked on the restoration of Notre-Dame. An autograph letter by Lassus to "Eugène" (i.e. Viollet-le-Duc) and another leaf bearing Lassus' masonic bookplate tipped in. Lugt, no. 24,040; Blogie II, col. 86 (without portrait).
