A George III Irish sugar basin
of tapering moulded circular form, on shell and hoof feet and with a punch-gadrooned rim, the body chased with three foliate swags, one with a bird above, the second with a classical bust above, the third with an oval cartouche engraved with a crest above, Matthew West, Dublin circa 1775 - 5½in. (14cm.), 5.75oz.
