5 volumes, 2o (390 x 255 mm). Titles printed in red and black. Large engraved vignette by Menabuoni on the title of vol. I. Contemporary mottled calf, spines gilt with raised bands, with the gilt arms of La Rochefoucauld at head of spine on each volume, red morocco labels (very slightly rubbed, some small worming to hinges). Provenance: La Rochefoucauld-Liancourt (library stamps on each title and coat of arms on spines).

The splendidly printed catalogue of Latin manuscripts preserved in the Laurentian library, formed by successive generations of the Medici family. Bandini received his education among the Jesuits and showed special interest for the study of antiquities. He was appointed librarian to the Laurentian Library in 1757 where he worked until his death. The last volume of his important catalogue of the Laurentian Library is entirely devoted to Italian manuscripts. A FINE COPY. (5)
