4 volumes, 4o (238 x 162 mm). Plates and illustrations in text. Maroon half morocco, t.e.g. Provenance: inserted in vol. I is a manuscript alphabetical list of the items described in it; Conte Andrea Bocca (bookplate).
T. De Marinis & Cie had sold its stock en bloc to Hoepli who offered it in these four auction sales, the last without mention of De Marinis's name. Although De Marinis officially closed his business in 1924, he never ceased being a bookseller, as well as a collector.
[With:] Another copy of Part I. 4o. Later green half cloth. Provenance: Martin Breslauer. With the price estimates of each of the 320 lots in ink in a secretarial hand, and all prices realized and the names of many of the buyers pencilled in the hand of Martin Breslauer who attended the sale. Martin Breslauer bought 27 lots; De Marinis bought back a number of items.
