PRICED in a contemporary hand. The catalogue includes 3012 lots. The first sale of his library took place in The Hague, 1688 and was reprinted "from the only surviving copy" in 1903. Contanstyn Huygens one of Holland's most important poets, was the father of Christiaan (1629-1695), the great scientist. Christiaan left the library to the sons of his younger brother. Not in Blogie.
