CROMHOUT, Bartholomaeus -- Bibliotheca Cromhoutiana sive catalogus elegantissimus, rarissimorum & curiosissimorum omnis generis librorum quos ... collegit & pulcherrime compigni curavit vir nobilis & generosus, D. Bartholomaeus Cromhout, P.M. Amsterdam: Hendrik & the Widow of Theodor Boom, 6 April 1703.

Small 8o (148 x 93 mm). Later mustard wrappers.

The apparently completely unrecorded sale catalogue of the "handsomely bound" library of a late seventeenth-century Dutch divine whom a contemporary manuscript note qualifies as "Pontificiis sacris addictus." There are no copies in the BL, Blogie, the catalogue of the Vereniging van de Belangen des Boekhandels, Amsterdam, &c. Cromhout may have been a descendent of the sixteenth-century Adriaan who played an important rôle in the liberation of the Netherlands (see ADB).
