The case with leaf-carved pediment and with conforming 'ears' flanking a trunk applied with foliate mouldings, with leaf and scroll carved cistern cover, concealed wide bore tube, with glass panel to two-day angled ceramic plates signed J. HICKS/8/Hatton Garden/London, with twin sliding vernier scales, the trunk applied with a glazed Fahrenheit and Centigrade mercury thermometer
