on a rising square base, with a scroll handle and punch-beaded rim, bright-cut with paterae, floral and foliate swags and engraved with a monogram within a boat-shaped cartouche with bow surmount, maker's initials C.H., London 1786 - 5½in. (14cm.); a pair of George III sugar tongs engraved with a monogram, probably Peter & William Bateman, London 1789; a pair of Edwardian sugar tongs with claw ends, Birmingham 1908; and three plated spoons.
