Four tipped-in color plates including frontspiece-portrait. Mosaic binding by Don Glaister of maroon morocco, cut-leather inlays of various colors and aluminum onlays, in a semi-abstract design. Cloth folding box.

BERNARD BRESLAUER'S OWN COPY of his most original contribution to the literature on book collecting history and Renaissance binding. A German version of the monograph appeared in 1991. Correspondence from present members of the Castell family, the publisher, recipients of presentation copies, book reviewers, etc. and various cuttings are loosely inserted. BBB Harvard 62.
